stone drawings
sue lawty is an artist in residence at the victoria & albert museum in england, and has been collaborating on a significant new body of work with the their textiles collection. in addition to large woven pieces, lawty creates "stone drawings" -- natural stones on gesso, arranged in simple, beautiful patterns. she has a blog, called concealed, discovered, revealed, where she writes about her work and experiences at the v&a museum.
