i love wooden blocks (stems from my montessori schooling)... and like the clive & sunshine dolls, i think these blocks from muji would look great on a mantle or coffee table. also available: new york, london, tokyo, and suburbia.
lena - love this! and a suburbia without strip malls - hooray! do you know anything about Muji coming to the US outside of being in museum giftshops? i've been waiting yrs since a visit to london in the early 90s when i discovered them for the first time.
that's what i thought initially (you have no idea how excited i was when i saw muji's 'city in the bag' on the mag). after seeing it in person, hmm... well.. unless you are a gnome or smtg small like that, i don't think this thing is that inspiring. shockingly tiny.. the bag that holds the entire 'city' is smtg like 3" top height. can't even give it to toddlers fearing they might accidently swallow them.

i don't... unfortunately! i've been waiting too! i keep hearing rumors about Muji and Topshop coming here... but I'm not holding my breath!
