jaime hayon

thanks ben loiz, for reminding me about jaime hayon, a spanish designer whose work includes lighting, ceramics, and furniture design. his AQ hayon collection of bath fixtures (made with manufacturer artquitect) won the elle decor international award, best bathroom 2005/06. i'm really inspired by (and envious of!) designers who work in a variety of materials. and i always love getting a peek into a designer's studio, like the photos above of hayon working on ceramics. more incredibly inspiring photos here.
